Drive Boston’s Mission

DRIVE Boston (Dedication, Resources, Initiative, Vision, and Energy) supports neighborhoods and communities impacted by violence and incarceration by providing information, and resources to individuals that are not successfully engaged by traditional institutions, to strengthen, empower and improve their quality of life, utilizing a constituent services approach.

MONTHLY COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS

WHAT IS THE DRIVE BOSTON COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP MEETING?

DRIVE Boston host a monthly meeting for the purpose of building community, networking, and supporting the community by convening and engaging social service organizations’ interest in being part of a clearinghouse approach to resource and information sharing.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS?

The second Saturday of each month (currently, via Zoom, registration is required).

WHY IS DRIVE Boston PROPOSING THIS MODEL?

Community members and organizations are doing impactful work in each of their “lanes”, the clearinghouse approach:

    • It provides a “one-stop” location for information and resources.
    • Expands community awareness of information and resources.
    • Decrease duplication of services, events, and activities and promotes collaboration for greater impact.

HOW WILL DRIVE Boston IMPLEMENT THE CLEARINGHOUSE APPROACH?

DRIVE Boston will compile various types of resource information and will soon post those resources here on our forthcoming Community Activities Page. Members will be able to submit information and resources not limited to, events, activities, actions needed on issues, and other valuable information and resources (all submissions will be vetted according to all DRIVE Boston communications standards).
